Xreal's Android XR Aura undercuts Meta's VR Glasses by $20 on the same Qualcomm chip

Xreal opened preorders for Google's Aura glasses at $1,279, $20 under Meta's VR Glasses. Both run the same Snapdragon chip in a corded puck, so the purchase comes down to an app library and a lens type more than a 1.5% price gap.

XREAL's $299 glasses make Android XR an accessory purchase

A reviewer who would not pay $600 for a portable big screen says he would pay $299 for the same trick, which tells you which price tier will decide what Android XR has to run on when Aura ships.
