Equifax, Experian and Verisk all bring in outside AI-fake detection
Startups catching fake voices and identities took $74 million of the roughly $125 million AI-fake detectors raised since January 2025, cbinsights.com says. Incode's $37 million round is about 30% of the total, so a count of 26 deals overstates how widely the money is spread.

FICO will cut about 15% of its staff, roughly 570 jobs, and book $27 million in charges, mostly severance, to fold AI into its products. The cut comes weeks after housing regulators moved to loosen FICO's grip on mortgage scoring, and the timing makes it as much a cost defence as an AI story.

Experian feeds Veridion's 642-million-company graph into its credit models
Veridion raised $20m on the argument that quarterly-refreshed company data is history, and Experian says the resulting signals let it score businesses conventional credit files could not see. The release itself leaves open what counts as one of the 642 million companies.

Florida builds its Netflix suit on what executives said before the ad tier launched
The attorney general's 66-page complaint quotes a 2016 engineering talk, a 2019 shareholder letter and a January 2020 earnings call, then asks the court to bar ad systems built with data from those years. Netflix says the case lacks merit.

Experian embeds its model risk checks in customers' ServiceNow workflows
Agent OS ships as a platform capability rather than a product anyone can buy on its own, so the evaluation stops being a vendor demo and becomes a question about whose logs answer your regulator.

Experian's 2026 fraud numbers move the work from catching events to proving people
The report describes fraud as a chain, not a moment. That pushes spend toward verification and turns every channel where a human can be persuaded into a control point.

CFPB stops publishing complaint narratives just as the count hits 6.6 million
The bureau calls the free-text complaints unverified and one-sided. They were also the only part of the file that told an outside reader what a complaint was about.
