Long Treasury yields fell through an AI selloff that cut Samsung, SK Hynix and SoftBank by 9% or more

Samsung, SK Hynix and SoftBank lost 9.5%, 11% and 9.3% in Asia while the 30-year Treasury yield fell 9.1 basis points. The drop added only 2.6% to the present value of a 30-year dollar, so the cause looks like AI borrowing and late revenue, with inflation as an add-on.

SK hynix locates the next AI inference bottleneck in the data moving between HBM, DRAM and SSDs

SK hynix's Ahn Hyun projects AI infrastructure performance needs will grow roughly 19 to 20 times by 2030, citing inference demand. The company's answer is to tune the whole memory hierarchy, from HBM down to SSDs, and to add 3D stacked DRAM and a NAND-based HBF.

Chips and servers account for nearly half of the trade growth behind the WTO's doubled forecast

WTO economists more than doubled their 2026 merchandise trade growth forecast, to 3.9% from 1.9%. AI hardware drove nearly half of first-half goods-trade growth, Crypto Briefing reported, so the upgrade depends on how long data-center spending keeps growing.
