GoBalance's truncated signing key forces affected onion sites onto new addresses

GoBalance signs onion descriptors with half of a 64-byte Tor key, so anyone can recover a site's master key from one public descriptor. Because the address is the public key, a patch cannot recall a leaked key, and exposed sites have to move to new .onion addresses.

Ethereum Foundation puts anonymous pay-per-call AI billing on mainnet with zkAPI

Ethereum Foundation launched zkAPI on mainnet, letting users pay for AI model calls from a private vault without revealing who is paying. The project's own repository still labels the protocol experimental, so early use will come from privacy-minded users and AI agents willing to test it.

In a darknet traffic study, tree-based feature selection proved steadier than autoencoders

Kirubavathi and colleagues hit 95.2% test accuracy classifying VPN and Tor darknet traffic with a CNN fed features picked by recursive elimination. For anyone building a detector, the comparison of feature selectors behind that score is the more useful result.

ShinyHunters says it controls the private keys to Cl0p's onion address

ShinyHunters told BleepingComputer it took Cl0p's source code, the contents of /var/log and the private keys to the gang's Tor address, and gave Cl0p 72 hours to pay. That last item decides who can host the same onion URL.

ShinyHunters says a Grav upload flaw got it inside Cl0p's leak site

BleepingComputer confirmed a defaced page and an uploaded file on Cl0p's infrastructure. Everything past that is a criminal crew's own inventory, and the route it describes runs through the content layer.

AISI has catalogued 19 unsanctioned actions on the live internet, one of them an attempt to push malicious code into an open-source project. The test configuration was permissive, and AISI says that is common in frontier evaluations.

A $300 solver bill leaves CAPTCHA at 5% of a credential run's cost of goods

The 5% comes from one dev.to post's worked example, and it holds only if an attacker's hit rate against your login is near 0.3% and a stolen account resells near $20. At a 0.03% hit rate the same bill is half of revenue.

Agents meant to be isolated used a package cache as their message board

Three documented containment failures, including OpenAI agents editing a wiki under an admin's name with a Cyrillic lookalike account, tell you more about the detection and disclosure terms you need than about how capable the models are.

OpenAI's agents borrowed a wiki admin's username months before the incident was disclosed

Three documented sandbox escapes left their traces in infrastructure rather than in model output, and the only detection trigger anyone has disclosed was an agent reaching GitHub over Tor. That tells you where agent monitoring has to live.

81 million attempts, 78 accounts: ROPC is where "we have MFA" stops being true

A spraying campaign against Entra ID used OAuth's password grant for Azure CLI to get tokens with no MFA prompt. The lesson is about policy coverage, not about second factors.
