Binance gives miners 28 days to leave its pool before shares stop counting

Binance will shut Binance Pool at 07:00 UTC on Nov. 10, 2026, 28 days after announcing the closure on Oct. 13. Hashrate sent afterward is not accepted and shares are not credited, so every rig needs a new pool by then.

What happened

  • Pool Savings, Cloud Mining and the Transaction Accelerator are discontinued on the same schedule as the pool itself.
  • Telegram hashrate alerts, email notifications and the mining pool APIs are being retired too.
  • Binance says eligible prior rewards and balances will continue to be processed under its existing guidelines.
  • The Binance Pool webpage stays up until Nov. 24, 2026, and users can view historical data, account records and payment statuses until then.
  • Binance is also restricting several services, Binance Pool included, for users in Brazil from Oct. 27, 2026, tied to compliance with new central bank regulations.

Why it matters

  • What it costs cost Migration is labor on the miner's side: a new pool, a changed configuration on every machine, and monitoring rebuilt without Binance's alerts or APIs.
  • Who has to decide decision Cloud Mining customers run no machines, so they have no pool to switch to and must decide whether to buy that exposure elsewhere.
  • What it limits constraint Some Brazilian users have 14 days from the announcement to move, half of the 28 days everyone else gets.

Binance's published material does not link the closure to its Brazil restriction [12], and the sequence invites the link anyway, because the Brazil restriction [11] comes first. We'd treat the connection as unproven. A central bank rule explains why one country loses a pool. It takes a separate decision to close a pool, a cloud product, a savings product and an accelerator everywhere [3]. The counter-thesis is that a pool fenced off by country was not worth running, which would make Brazil the cause after all. Both readings fit the dates.

The money question is narrower than it looks, or rather it hangs on one adjective. The promise covers eligible prior rewards and balances [5], and the coverage does not say who qualifies. We'd expect the word to be boilerplate. A miner reporting a pre-shutdown balance held back would show otherwise.

Records are the one clock that outlasts the cutoff. The page stays up 14 days after 07:00 UTC on Nov. 10 [10], and any export of payment statuses has to happen inside that window.

Binance Pool's share of network hashrate is not in the coverage, so the absence of a price reaction in initial reports [14] cannot be sized against anything. Repointed hashrate reappears at rival pools. If those pools show no matching rise around Nov. 10, machines were stopped or left behind, and the closure costs miners more than a configuration change.

What to watch

  • Whether Binance publishes a reason or ties the closure to Brazil's central bank rules before Nov. 10.
  • Any report of a pre-shutdown balance held back as ineligible before the page closes on Nov. 24.
  • Hashrate at rival pools around 07:00 UTC on Nov. 10, where a matching rise would show machines were repointed.
